Youth Body Urges Muslim Faithfuls To Pray Against Novel Corona Virus Pandemic (COVID 19) As Ramadan Fast Begins.

The leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress has urged Muslim Faithfuls to pray fervently against the deadly CoronaVirus (COVID 19) as Ramadan fast begins.

The President of Nigerian Youth Congress, Blessing Akinlosotu, who made this call charged Muslim brothers and sisters to call on God to put an end to this deadly virus rampaging the world.

Akinlosotu said, “you know, fasting is a time to express our absolute submission to the will of God and our recognition of his supremacy. It is also a time to express solidarity through good deeds and extending our tables to the less privileged. However, It is time to avoid anything that will displease Allah”.

He emphasized that a special prayer should be made for the nation, mostly for the leaders and the youths, as he didn’t leave the state of security of the nation out of his prayer request.

He said, “the country is going through a critical time and it is hard to imagine what the future holds, unless we have peace and put an end to terrorism”.

He said they should remember to pray for the Armed Forces who are doing their best to ensure the citizens are secured, and also the Medical Practitioners and Volunteers that are working hard to save lives.

To cap it all, he said “on behalf of the Nigerian Youth Congress, the coordinating body of the Nigerian youths, I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters peace and blessings in this holy month of Ramadan, may your Ramadan be blessed and May Allah accept your good deeds as sincerely done for him”
