Domak Shelter Partners with NYCC-19 to Provide Jobs for Nigerian Youths

Domak Shelter Ltd. as part of its social responsibility is partnering with the Nigerian Youth Compact on COVID-19 (NYCC-19) to provide Jobs for millions of Nigerian Youths when the proposed Domak Garden City becomes a reality.

Mr. Kingsley Azonobi, The Chief Executive Officer of Domak Shelter Ltd. stated this during a courtesy visit in his office led by Comrade Gambo Haruna, the National Chairman of NYCC-19; including 7-members of the National Steering Committee in Abuja on Wednesday.

Haruna said in the real estate world, Domak Shelter is expected to play a very significant and key role in mitigating the impact of COVID-19 in Nigeria through the provision of employment opportunities in the real estate chain.

According to him, NYCC-19 is an integrated Framework and Mechanism for Youth Engagement and Peer Intervention Strategy (PIS), was also designed to sensitize and mobilize Nigerian Youths and Young Persons toward massive and enhanced response to fight the COVID-19 Pandemic in Nigeria.

He added that the Compact was set up as a realistic and practicable Action Plan to face the emerging Post COVID-19 economic and social realities.

However, Haruna also commended the humanitarian support of the Chief Executive Officer, Domak Shelter Limited, Mr. Kingsley Azonobi to the less privileged as well as the services the company was providing to Nigerians across the country, especially relating to youth employment.

Comrade Haruna, therefore, emphasized on the need for a partnership with the Domak Shelter Limited adding that one of the mandates of the NYCC-19 was to provide job opportunities for unemployed youths as well as Nigerian youths that lost their jobs due to Corona virus pandemic.

Responding, Azonobi while expressing his passion for youths said, according to United Nations report, Nigeria is one of the populous countries in the world, but noted that majority of young people were the most neglected segment of the population in the country.

Azonobi, a philanthropist who is very discreet with his humanitarian interventions in whatever capacity, pledged his endorsement of and support to the NYCC-19.

He expressed the readiness of Domak Shelter Limited to partner with the NYCC-19 Team toward ensuring realization of the aim’s objectives of the NYCC-19.

According to the report Domak Shelter is building the biggest estate in Nigeria, Domak Garden City located in Karshi, Nasarawa State near Abuja which is about 1170 Hectare of land.

Kim Kardashian wants to give 1000 people $500 each

Reality television star, Kim Kardashian has announced that she wants to send $500 each to a thousand people in recognition of a tough year caused by the covid-19 pandemic.

Kim, who was bashed last month for posting receipts of $1m she spent on holiday, said the monetary relief she’ll be sending will be disbursed on a first come, first served basis.

“Hey guys! 2020 has been hard and many are worried about paying rent or putting food on their table,” the reality star tweeted to her 68 million followers on Monday afternoon. “I want to spread the love by sending $500 to 1000 people.”

She followed with instructions on how to get their tweet noticed and the money paid.

The management of the airline disclosed this in a statement released today Friday, December 4. The management hinged its decision to sack the workers on the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on its operations.

The press statement titled, “Arik Air management declares 300 staff redundant”, reads in part

“Arising from the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to the constrained ability of the airline to complete heavy maintenance activities and return its planes to operations, stunted revenues against increasing operational costs, the management of Arik Air (In Receivership) has declared 300 staff members redundant to its current level of operations.

“The leadership of the impacted unions has been contacted to negotiate a redundancy package for the affected staff.”

Gov. Sule Orders DPMs, DFS to Proceed on Compulsory 3-Month Suspension over Alleged Fraud of 600m

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Sunday directed the Local Government Service Com­mission (LGSC) to send all the Directors of Personal Management (DPMs) and Directors of Finance and Supplies (DFS) in the 13 local governments and 18 development areas to go on compulsory suspension for three months.

Sule said the suspension was to monitor the pay­ment of salaries of local government workers by the state auditor general, which was lingering for three months.

The directive was contained in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer in the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Ibrahim Adamu Shigafar­ta, and made available to newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.

Gistflash gathered that the council officials were suspended because they refused to work with directive of the a committee set up by government to investigate the discrepancies and high wage bills incurred by local governments.
