Hydroxychloroquine is Proving an Effective Treatment for Patients Around the World

Reports flying in across the world that the drug Hydroxychloroquine has proven to be effective in the fight against coronavirus.

According to Pearson Sharp ‘One American News’ after 5days of administering Hydroxychloroquine drug treatment on patients, 70-80% of them has fully recovered from coronavirus and the federal government of America has officially sanctioned it to be used for coronavirus treatment.

As a result, France is authorizing prescription of Hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for coronavirus with the nations Director General of Health calling it “Beneficial to those suffering from the disease”.

Doctors know that the 5 days is much faster for recovery as previously it takes up to 2weeks for an average patient to fully recover from this pandemic.

However, Hydroxychloroquine is currently used in over 800 hospitals in France where coronavirus patients are being treated and the effects will be stakes over in the next 6 weeks.

One of the microbiologists in Mousey reports that after treating 24 patients with this drug, about 6 of them has been completely cured with this drug.

Now, we are convinced that it’s only a matter of time before the whole world accepts Hydroxychloroquine as an effective solution for Coronavirus.

Hydroxychloroquine is an anti-malaria drug but it fights coronavirus by using Zinc to stop the replication of the virus. Reports sates that Zinc blocks the reproduction of viruses especially coronaviruses.

In 2014, researchers from Oklahoma built on that, discovering that the Hydroxychloroquine is extremely good at destroying viruses by allowing the human cells to absorb zinc.

Basically, the research found that by taking small amount of Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc levels shoot up in cells making it impossible to for viruses to take hold.

South Korea was the first to discover the effectiveness of Hydroxychloroquine, at the early February, Doctors in South Korea began to recommend it for treatment while Italy effectively started administering it on March 29th and the results have been laudable.

Studies in China made some more findings that Hydroxychloroquine has a “wide range of antiviral effect including anti-coronavirus”.

China Centre for Biotechnology Development even shows the patients treated with this drug showed significant drop in fever, improvement in their lungs and recovered much faster than those taking other drugs. Also doctors from Australia has similar reports to this effect.

New York has begun testing Hydroxychloroquine as a treatment for patients suffering from the disease which is a process that normally takes up to 9 months but this process was fast-racked by President Trump’s efforts.

Furthermore, Dr. Zelenko from New York reports that he has used Hydroxychloroquine, Zinc and Z-pak antibiotics (Zyflomycine) in the treatment on 699 coronavirus patients with 100% success rate; Non have died, breathing has improved in just 46hrs and the entire treatment course took just 5days and cost $20.

However, 500,000 dozen tablets of Hydroxychloroquine have been deployed for use in two upcoming clinical trials. the results from this trial will be ready in few days or weeks but from the reports of France, South korea and other countries; America has every hope that Hydroxychloroquine will soon cure the disease.

See What UNDOC has to say about Organ Trafficking

Published

on

Organ Trafficking

Organ trafficking, a lucrative global illicit trade, is often a lesser discussed form of human trafficking among anti-human trafficking stakeholders due to its intricate and often stealth nature.

Trafficking sex and/or labor are the more commonly thought of forms of human trafficking among public policy leaders and general awareness campaigns.

However, organ trafficking holds a critical place with transnational organized crime groups due to high demand and relatively low rates of law enforcement.

The transplantation of healthy organs into persons whose own organs have failed, improves and saves thousands of lives every year. But demand for organs has outstripped supply, creating an underground market for illicitly obtained organs.

The Desperate situations of both recipients and donors create an avenue ready for exploitation by international organ trafficking syndicates. Traffickers exploit the desperation of donors to improve the economic situation of themselves and their families, and they exploit the desperation of recipients who may have few other options to improve or prolong their lives.

Like other victims of trafficking in persons, those who fall prey to traffickers for the purpose of organ removal may be vulnerable by virtue of poverty, for instance.

One factor that is distinct in this form of trafficking in persons is the profile of culprits; while some may live solely from criminal trafficking activities, others may be doctors, nurses, ambulance drivers and health care professionals who are involved in legitimate activities when they are not participating in trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal.

The transnational organized crime syndicates are involved in trafficking people for the purpose of organ removal and the organs themselves. The Trafficking in Persons Protocol supplementing the Transnational Organized Crime Convention includes trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal.

UNODC response

Trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal was on the agenda of the Working Group on Trafficking in Persons established by the Conference of Parties to the Organized Crime Convention at its fourth session, from 10 to 12 October 2011.

The Working Group recommended that States make better use of the Convention and Trafficking in Persons Protocol in combating trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal.

The Working Group recommended that States parties to the Convention should encourage relevant United Nations entities, including UNODC, to gather evidence-based data on trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal, including root causes, trends and modus operandi, with the aim of facilitating better understanding and awareness of the phenomenon while recognizing the difference between trafficking in organs, tissues and cells.

The Working Group also requested UNODC to develop a training module against trafficking in persons for the purpose of organ removal, and provide technical assistance, especially in regard to investigation, exchange of information and international legal cooperation.

Woman loses hearing in one ear after mild Covid-19 infection

A woman identified as Meredith Harrell lost her hearing in one ear after mild Covid-19 Infection.

According to Elizabeth Cohen, CNN Senior Medical Correspondent, Harrell was walking from her backyard into the house, her right ear suddenly started to ring.

She realized that, other than the ringing, she couldn’t hear anything out of that ear.”It was like someone flipped a switch,” she said.

Harrell’s hearing loss was a mystery until about a week later, when she took a Covid-19 test. It was positive.

Even though she never felt sick, an otologist — a doctor who specializes in hearing — explained to Harrell that the virus was likely the culprit.Meredith Harrell with her son, Mason. The family tested positive for Covid-19.Meredith Harrell with her son, Mason. The family tested positive for Covid-19.

Viruses such as measles, mumps and meningitis are known to sometimes cause sudden hearing loss, and there’s growing evidence that the novel coronavirus should be added to the list.

“We’re hearing more and more that people have hearing loss as part of their Covid infection,” said Dr. Matthew Stewart, associate professor of otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins Medicine.

There are no statistics on how common it is for people who’ve had Covid-19 to experience hearing loss, but a few small studies point to a possible link.

A team in Manchester, England, asked Covid-19 patients eight weeks after they’d been discharged from the hospital whether they’d experienced any hearing changes or ringing in their ears.

Of the 138 patients in the study, published in the International Journal of Audiology, 13% said yes.

Covid-19 symptoms: What we know now and what to do

He said the reason is that the coronavirus is known to cause blood clots in other areas of the body, and he thinks that could be happening in the “extremely small blood vessels” in the inner ear.

Kevin Munro, an audiological scientist who co-authored the study in Manchester, said he thinks that theory makes sense.”

The capillaries in the inner ear are the smallest in the human body, so it wouldn’t take much to block them,” he said.

Munro and his team at the University of Manchester are planning larger studies on Covid-19 and hearing loss.

Until then, they’re not sure why it seems like some Covid-19 patients develop hearing loss while others don’t.
